My birthday...

First of all I LOVE birthdays! It doesn't matter whose it is... I just love them!
My Mom still treats me like I am 10 years old and spoils me ALL day. So here is how my birthday went... I woke up around 8:00am. Steve wishes me happy birthday and had to get to a meeting. The kids got up and climbed in bed with me (I love this about summer). Shawn got up and made me a plate of fruit (he even decorated the plate, cute).

My Dad text me to go to breakfast at McDonald's with him & my Mom (Remember I still get treated like a 10 year old). They gave me a skirt & shirt from Banana Republic (my Dad had picked it out). Then my Mom & I started on our shopping on our birthdays tradition.
We went to the mall to all the summer sales. I did get some fun stuff.
  • a pair of cute jeans from Banana Republic (on sale $24.95)
  • 2 short sleeved sweaters from Nordstrom (on sale $24.00)
  • 2 tank top wrap around shirts from J-Crew (on sale $7.50)
  • a dress from the cute Motif? store in Gardner Village
We went to lunch with Steve, my Mom, Jelissa, Josh & Tori at Cheesecake Factory... MMMmmm I really love that restaurant. Then more shopping.

We got home around 4:30pm. I got the kids all ready with cute clothes and cute hair and we met up at the Rio Grande Cafe. My whole family, my in laws, and Steve, me and the kids went. Everyone spoiled me.

  • my Siblings gave me a cute Fossil travel purse with money in it to spend and cute J-Crew flip flops & a head band.
  • my Father in law (Steve's real Dad) bought me an outfit from Old Navy... Is that the cutest most daring thing to buy your daughter in law an outfit. It is a little dress and shrug.
  • my Mother in law & Father in law gave me money
  • my Parents gave me money, a purse camera (so I can post more pictures), and some albums & frames to put my new pictures in... cute Memory Theme.
  • my Kids went with Karen and spent their OWN money.
  • The boys bought me COKE Jars for my kitchen, and a cooking with COKE cookbook... they were so excited they couldn't even stand it... CUTE CUTE CUTE!
  • The girls bought me a little lantern like lamp in red.
  • They of course all made me handmade cards.
Saturday Night - Steve took me to our favorite place to eat... FLEMINGS Steakhouse.
I love it there. After we walked around The Gateway. I just love to walk hand in hand and not have anywhere to go and nothing to do. It is the best... oh ya and you get to people watch.
Later that night is when Steve gave me my presents from him. I had told him lets just get couches for the theater so we can watch movies as a family finally so that is my main gift is we are going to get those but... he also went to the mall (his least favorite place) to get me an outfit... so he has bought me exercise clothes before or a shirt or something... but never an outfit... He went to Banana Republic and bought me the cutest Shirt & Skirt. The shirt is kind of a periwinkle with white polka dots and the skirt is white. I can't even tell you how proud and impressed I was with him. HE DID GREAT! He also bought me a little bag of goodies (more for him) at Victoria's Secret. HE LOVED THEM! I will spare you the pictures of that.

I received many, many, many gifts and calls and texts from all of you guys... you are the best!

All in all it was an AWESOME birthday... again I am 10 and I love my birthday.

This has to be said, because I don't think that your "real" friends will tell you to your face.
TEN YEAR OLDS DON'T GET THESE KINDS OF BIRTHDAYS.
Even 11 and 12 year olds.
You are ridiculously loved and I'm glad that you had such a FABULOUS birthday. You deserve it.

p.s. Rio Grand is one of my favorite places to eat.....maybe next time you invite me to scrap night we could hit Rio Grand just before :) (mucho noted sarcasm)

Wow I can only imagine if you start acting like you were 10 how incredible your birthdays would be! What a fun day for you. P.S. if your Mom wants to adopted another daughter I am available and my b-day is May 25th. Again it is May 25th! LOL

Girl you are more spoiled than anyone I know. They could make a movie about you... How is it that you are still so nice? You really aren't a brat usually spoiled, means brat...hmm? You make it kind of hard for us not to be jealous and covet thy neighbors birthday gifts..... I really am happy for you! & I'm glad so many people love you! Happy Birthday!!

I don't care what the name on this post is THIS IS BUCK and yes I'm in Afghanistan. Happy Birthday Jen. I always knew you were a brat now I know you are a "spoiled Brat". I am very happy for you and I hope you told Steve how good he did. I wish I could spoil my wife like that on her birth-day. Thanks for all you do. You really are a sweet heart.
