School is out for the summer!!!

So last night Steve had his dream party. As a lot of you know because you were there, we had a party for the kids and their friends for the end of school. I realize that I am a party planner and I really love to have and plan a party... well this one guys was ALL Steve. Let's back up a bit. In October for our Haunted House that we have with the Demann's Steve bought some fog machines (you don't have to tell me... I know my husband is a nerd). After the Haunted House he was so excited to use them again. He said "Jennica... at the end of the school year we are going to have a HUGE dance party with all of the kids and their friends." My first thought, honestly, was "yippy, I get to entertain 50 sixth graders and some straggling kids from all other age groups with no parents". As it got closer it just seemed like a lot of work. Well I decided to help him for the sake of our kids because they were so excited. I was nervous. As we were getting ready yesterday I was a little crabby (okay... maybe a lot). But, by the time the party started and kids (and LOTS OF PARENTS TOO) started coming I started to get more and more excited. I guess looking back I just didn't want nobody to show up to Steve's party and it to be a flop. SO NOT THE CASE!

I am not sure of how many people ended up coming. BUT there was A LOT! Steve played all kinds of music... we had a bounce house... we had dancing (with Mom's, Dad's & Kids galore). We only had a couple of little casualties with scrapped (or dug out) knees. All in all it was great.

I just want to thank EVERYONE for your tremendous help. Thanks for the bounce house donations, food, clean-up, chair moving, table donating etc, etc, etc! Trent Smith... Thank you, thank you, thank you for hanging out with Steve ALL afternoon and helping put things together and oh yeah... MOWING MY LAWN! Thank you Dean Morrell, Mogie DeMann and others for all of your clean up. I would also like to publicly thank Steve for making such a FANTASTIC Memory for our kids and their friends.

We were so exhausted by the end of the night... some of us couldn't even wait to go inside to bed!
We had many many many requests for next year too. We will just have to have a "second annual School is out party!!!".

School is out SOON!!!

Steve came up with this idea a couple of months ago to have an end of school party with all of our friends and our kids friends. I really think that it is more for him than the kids... he can't wait to put a whole bunch of music together and pretend to be a DJ again. Anyway... here is the little invite information that the kids are passing out to their friends. Please come we would love to have you... even if you don't live in our area you can still come and celebrate that summer is almost here... NOW IF ONLY THE WEATHER WOULD REALIZE IT!

Here is the information:

Greatest Girlfriends EVER!!!

Me and My Mom
Lisa L.
Jenn B, Amber G, Wendy, Me, Dayna V, Jami, and Julie
Dayna, Jenn, Jami, Me
Me, Jenn W, Nicole S, Kelly S, Mindy R, Natalie D, Lisa L, and Leigh Ann T.
Me and Teresa H
Me and Lisa W
Me and My Little Sister Jelissa

I just want to say that I am a pretty lucky girl. I have some of the best friends ever. I am not going to name them all because knowing me I will accidentally leave someone out but here is just a few things from today!

I talked to Jenn B, Jami & Dayna on the phone today about Julie "thinking" that we are the ones that toilet papered her house... If she only knew who it really was ;).

Kindergarten Talent (and what talent IT was) Show: I sat and laughed and laughed with all of the kindergarten Mom's. We sang an impromptu Happy Birthday with the kindergartners to Lisa L. it was super cute. What a great group.

Lisa L. and I took our kids to lunch for her birthday at Rumbi's. We talked, talked & talked! I LOVED it.

I was trying to make a Mom decision today for Shawn and just at the right time Julie called... she couldn't even remember why she called in the first place but she helped me make a decision and it turned out really great.

Tonight Steve & I went to dinner for his and Lisa's birthday's and we just sat there and talked... none of us wanted to go home. We had a great time.

I just want to publicly thank ALL of my friends... old, new, what ever. I LOVE all of you for different reasons. You all bring out something different in me. I am SUPER thankful for the things that I learn from all of you as wives and mom's. Just know... just because I didn't say your name on this post doesn't mean that I don't think the world of you!

Happy 35th Birthday Steve!

So I tried yesterday a couple of times to get on my computer and it was down for some reason... (it was up in the morning but not long enough to post)... so, Yesterday was Steve's Birthday. For his birthday I thought that I would write a few of my favorite things about him.

1st - He is one of the hardest workers that I know. He doesn't hardly ever sit down to relax... and he doesn't stop until a job is done. He really is doing a great job of teaching our kids how to work. He loves to bring the boys to work with him.

2nd - He is super great at letting me have girlfriends and go with them to do wild and crazy things at a moments notice. I love that when I ask him if he cares if I go scrapbooking... he says "go - don't even ask me... you need the break too".

3rd - He is so much fun to sit in the hot tub with at night and have our nightly "meeting". It is our time to sit and talk about the craziness of the day at work or with the kids.

4th - He puts up with me being me and I am not sure that is the easiest thing to do in the world.

5th - He is a great dad... He loves to do things with the kids that he didn't have the opportunity to do as a kid. I sometimes feel like I have 5 kids not 4.

6th - He is a super husband, a great provider, an awesome priesthood holder, a wonderful dad, and a really great friend.

I am so thankful that I found him and that we are married. I love the life that we have made together. I love to be his wife. I am glad we are "stuck" for Eternity together. I could go on and on.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of him:

Random Pictures of my last couple of weeks... LONG!

I haven't been a very great blogger the last couple of weeks... I have been super busy (just like everyone else). So I thought that I would post a couple of highlights in pictures.

First: Hawaii - I haven't posted pictures... here are a few.

Second: The cute kindergarten "Hoe Down". This is one of my most favorite days in kindergarten. I just love, love, love it. ;

Next: The Sand Dunes in St. Anthony, ID Last weekend. Here is our kids FULL of DIRT EVERYWHERE! I am still cleaning their heads from the dirt... eeeewwwwww gross... but fun!

Last: I went to the schools retiring of the flag... WOW! That was way more emotional than I had planned for. How amazing the 6th grade kids and teachers who helped did on this. What a great experience for the kids... one they will remember for along time. I know that I will. I love this country and I am so thankful for the men and women who fight for our freedom. I wish that I had my video camera to record it - I would love to watch it again. What a great day!

Murray Max Boys U9 Soccer Team!

Yesterday & Today Cameron tried out for the Murray Max Competitive U9 Soccer Team. Cameron eats, sleeps, drinks soccer. It is his whole world so for that reason the last two days as his Mom I could not eat, sleep, drink while waiting for him to find out if he made the team or not. He has wanted to play on Murray Max since as long as he can remember. He was pretty confident that he would make it. I was just hopeful. Well we got the call tonight... HE MADE IT! He is so excited. You could just see the weight lifted off of his shoulders when I told him that he made it. He had the biggest grin the rest of the night.

CONGRATULATIONS little buddy! We are super happy for you!

Happy 6th Birthday Ashley!

I can't even believe that my baby is six. She is such a big girl. Ashley is very ready to be in 1st grade. She can't wait to be there at the "big kids school" all day with her siblings.

I remember the day she was born just like it was yesterday. I loved every minute of having her be a tiny tiny baby. She was just 4lbs 8oz when she was born. She was a fighter - she thought she was a big kids even then. She is such a cute little girl (she will even tell you that). We told her tonight that she is pretty and she said... I know. We said are you humble or not humble. She asked what that meant and we told her... she said NOT HUMBLE. That is totally her personality.

She is a funny funny girl. She loves babies (real or pretend). She loves barbies, princesses, pollys, coloring and just about everything else. She really loves life and loves to live it to the fullest.

I love you baby! I can't believe you are already six.

Happy Birthday Princess!
